Dr Alexander worked for the Royal Free Hospital Trust for over 20 years, regularly doing joint injections in the rheumatology clinic.

Conditions suitable for joint injection are:-

  • Osteoarthritis eg. knee, wrist, ankle, fingers, feet or base of thumb
  • Frozen shoulder or shoulder pain
  • Tennis elbow or golfers elbow

  • Plantar fasciitis

Research Interests

These are related to my publications but I am also interested in treating and auditing a series of patients with cluster headaches (which cause severe intermittent localised pain), trochanteric bursitis and obturator nerve palsy (which can cause inner thigh pain and weakness) which also seem to show a rapid response to acupuncture. Treatments that form part of a study will be charged at a discounted rate.
